About the Wine
The Rocca family and Barbaresco have had an unbreakable bond dating back to 1834. It's no surprise that their aim with winemaking is to showcase this beautiful land and terroir by guiding and nurturing the vines to produce only the highest quality fruit.
This Barbaresco is a beautiful wine expressive of place and passion. Effortlessly elegant in the glass, it boasts aromas of purple florals, flavours of dark wild berries wrapped with subtle spice. Warming, with a lengthy finish and structured tannin - one to contemplate, for sure.
It's a testament to the phrase "age like a fine wine", as this is certainly one that will stand the test of time to the cellar. Impeccable stuff.
About Bruno Rocca
The Rocca family have been connected to the Barbaresco area for over two centuries, with a rich history of viticulture and winemaking in their lineage.
In 1958, the family purchased one of the most prestigious crus in Barbaresco - Rabaja, renowned for giving only the highest quality Nebbiolo grapes. Eventually, in 1978 Bruno started making wine in the family name, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Their winemaking focus is on the renewal of traditional winemaking in the region, continually seeking to create wines of impeccable quality that showcase the uniqueness and character of their extraordinary terroir. Bruno Rocca's children, Luisa and Francesco, are following in their fathers footsteps and working with him in the winery every step of the way to carry on the legacy of the Rocca family.
