A strong, unflinching savoury cabernet.
About This Wine
Brother winemkers Angus and Sa probably have a battle over each decision in the winery, and it's not always a bad thing to have two strong-minded people bringing their ideas together.
This wine is a win from Angus, 100% Eden Valley Cabernet that is complex, well-rounded and has a silky tannin profile. Dark berries, christmas spice, there is a full-throttle flavour explosion in the glass.
A single-vineyard wine with depth, and varietal complexity, what’s not to love about that?
About Brothers At War
Angus and Sam Wardlaw are the ‘Brothers at War’, starting off with a tonne of grapes, and an idea to produce unique expressions of the region they call home.
2nd generation winemakers, they leaned heavily of the knowledge gained from a childhood spend around their father, Barossa pioneer, David.
Working across the Barossa and Eden Valleys, the brothers produce a swath of wines; young fresh easy drinking styles, to much more serious, old-vine expressions.
Warring brothers at times perhaps, but when push comes to shove, like the Dire Straits song says, “You did not desert me, my brother(s) in arms.”
