A wine that delivers its power with great subtlety...This is a very serious red indeed.

About The Wine
The best of the best. 99% Syrah with a hint of Viognier, this is one of NZ greatest red wines, and one of the most cellarworthy.
Founding Winemaker John Hancock worked with Gerard Jaboulet in the Rhone. After Gerard passed away too early in 1997 the Syrah planted in the Gimblett Gravels was destined for a tribute to Gerard, a Homage to a great man.
Now only released in good vintages, which thankfully have been numerous in recent years, it is a selection of Trinity Hills' best vineyard plots, aged in the best french oak.
It is polished and suave in style, perfumed and silky, with red berry and pepper flavours dominating. The length and purity are stunning.
About Trinity Hill
Trinity Hills has its genesis in the early 1990s as part of the pioneering vignerons who planted red varieties in the barren Gimblett Gravels area of Hawkes Bay. What foresight - this is now the home to the countries greatest Shiraz and Cabernet blends.
With an extreme focus on quality, under the guidance of renowned head winemaker Warren Gibson, Trinity Hill is at the very top echelon of NZ wine, and its Homage Syrah a regular contender for the country's best red wine.
