About The Wine
Strap yourself in for one of the Pinot releases of the year.
The Sinapius vineyard is planted at a super high density forcing each vine to fight for its share of nutrients. In short, stressed out vines creates more concentrated fruit. The yield is lower, typically, but the quality is much higher. The Sinapius Pinot Noir is a killer example of that theory in full flight.
It's Tasmanian Pinot in all its glory. It's brightly fruited, silky and devastatingly seductive. The 2018 was rated a massive 98 points by James Halliday, making it one of the top Pinot Noirs in the 2021 Wine Companion. It's delicious, it's limited, it will sell out.
About Sinapius
Sinapius is a premium boutique Tasmanian winery started by two young, passionate winemakers.
The couple, Vaughn Dell & Linda Morice, purchased the site when they were only 24-years-old and chose to plant their vines in the Burgundian fashion opting for high-density planting and low yielding crops. Their small labour of love has budded into one of Tasmania's most exciting viticultural projects.
Their wines are of extremely high quality, made in small amounts and showcase their unique patch of dirt with transparency, purity and power.
