About The Wine
Roussanne is one of Michael Hall's real passions.
This bold white grape hailing from the Rhone Valley in France is the kind of variety that demands a considered approach in the cellar to look its best. Michael wants a complex and detailed example to shine from the glass, but one which doesn't shy way from the variety's natural richness.
He's done a very good job with this release. The whole wine is fermented wild in barrel and then aged in oak (30% new) before bottling, giving the wine a roundness and toastiness which makes it moreish to the last drop.
Never one to do things by halves, Hall's craftsmanship and care with this variety are second to none.
