It’s a hearty, deep red of easy drinking, but one that sits you back in your seat a bit with its oomph.

About The Wine
Roger Pike's winemaking philosophy is simple - to grow the best grapes possible to produce equally great wines, expressive of their unique terroir and crafted to bring a smile to your face.
The Symposium is a blend of Shiraz and Mourvedre, in equal parts. Two varieties that truly go together like Olivia Benson & Elliot Stabler, complementing each other with rich texture and flavour.
It's definitely a wine that gives great value for money, and a great one for the cellar if you're patient enough.
About Marius
Roger Pike's Marius label is one of the modern marvels of McLaren Vale, with his unique red wines eagerly sought after by Australian wine collectors in the know.
Pike's gravel-riddled McLaren Vale vineyard produces remarkable Shiraz and Mourvedre. The focus is squarely on the vineyard at Marius, everything tended by hand. Careful fruit thinning to keep yields down and of the highest quality, no machines, no pesticides, no herbicides. Healthy vines making great wines is what it's all about.
These are rare birds and cellar with incredible integrity. With Roger winding up his time in the vineyard, the few precious vintages he has left are going to be collectables for decades to come.
