Critic Reviews

DDS review

It's all ripe mandarine, floral aromatics, sweet ripe fruit cut with citrussy acidity. Great balance, mineral and steel wrapped in fruit. It's not 'sweet', it's just nicely rounded and the finish is crisp and cleansing. - Different Drop Wine Team

The Wine Front

"Learned from his German mentors, this is a ‘halbtrocken’ as Ken Helm says. Hooray for lightly sweet riesling wines in Australia! Tonic water, faint honey, jasmine and black currant scents. Touch of blackcurrant to flavour too but the gist is citrus and a lick of honey. Fine, lightly oily texture, great extension of flavour with a lovely lingering ginger spice character to close. Touch of chalkiness closes the wine. Just so." - Mike Bennie (The Wine Front)

Additional Info

From The Producer

This is a style of Riesling which is very popular in Germany known as Halbtrocken (Half Dry). It is a particularly good accompaniment to spicy dishes as the slight sweetness in the wine balances the spices and heat. This is the 10th vintage of this very popular style, and each year we fine tune the balance between flavour, acid and sweetness. Released under the distinctive red rose coloured label.
