I can't recommend the wines of this small, family-run domaine highly enough.

About This Wine
The village offering from Ghislaine Barthod, this wine comes from 11 different parcels (totalling 2.5 hectares) across the appellation, plus some young vines from Chatelots.
An expressive and open wine, this is Chambolle personified. Deep and dense notes of violets, it is peppery and pure, with silky tannins and red berry fruit. This is really finessed and saline, with an impressively long finish.
It’s a very composed wine, with lots of perfume and maturity, lots of fruit, almost new worldly in that aspect, yet such a great representation of the appellation, seductive and very appealing.
About Ghislaine Barthod
Ghislaine Barthod is one of Burgundy's most famous vigneronnes, releasing small amounts of much sought-after wine from her home appellation of Chambolle-Musigny.
Her wines are among the region's most perfumed and sensual, revealing increasing layers of elegance and complexity with age. She has an incredible nine single-vineyard bottles in Chambolle, from a total of under six total hectares, as well as some Villages wine and a wonderful Bourgogne Rouge.
"While each wine displays the idiosyncrasies of it particular terroir, the overall effect of tasting at the (Ghislaine Barthod) domaine is to come away with a palate coated in sensual Chambolle fruit." - Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy.
