About the Wine
Four generations deep in Sancerre, today the enterprising Eric Louis leads his family estate.
The compound interest of such rich local history? They’ve accumulated over 35 hectares of vineyards, across 3 villages of Sancerre and 60 distinct parcels, meaning even this junior bottling is expressive and lively.
With its heady ripe notes of passionfruit, lifted by green apple and kiwi zest, this is fleshy, fresh and sophisticated Sauvignon.
About Domaine Eric Louis
Domaine Eric Louis is the key label within a group that is collectively known as the Celliers du Pauline. The name comes from Eric Louis’ great grandmother Pauline, who founded the family estate back in 1860.
Based in Thauvenay in the south eastern part of the Sancerre region, Eric Louis is the fourth generation working the vines.
Their holdings now extend to 35 hectares across 60 different vineyard parcels. These are located in the villages of Thauvenay, Ménétréol and Sancerre et Vinon.
