Aromatically intense and finely cut, the Bloom's Field is an unforgettable wine.

About The Wine
Simply outstanding Californian Pinot made by celeb-sommelier Rajat Parr (who you may have seen in the Somm movies).
The Bloom’s Field is one of the Domaine's five single sites, on a southwest-facing hillside with clay on Monterey Shale bedrock. The Pinots from this windy spot are perhaps the lightest in colour and weight.
Complexity upon complexity here - aromatically, and throughout the long, ethereal palate. Whole-bunch wild herbs and leafiness (though not stalky) meld seamlessly with intensely concentrated cherry and pomegranate notes.
The palate is an exercise in light and dark - high toned, lush dark red fruits, fresh stoney minerality, and a deep long finish. Utterly exceptional.
About Domaine de la Cote
Domaine de la Cote is the high density Pinot Noir project from famous sommelier Rajat Parr and wine partner Sashi Moorman, located in the Santa Rita Hills, within the Santa Barbara wine region.
The domain is a collection of five vineyards in the far western reaches of the Sta. Rita Hills, seven miles from the Pacific Ocean, planted in 2007. The aim was to investigate multitude of terroirs this land of faults and slopes naturally created.
In no time, their minimal intervention wines, all Pinot Noir, always 100% whole bunch, have established themselves as a preeminent producer of lighter style, lo-fi Californian Pinot Noir, with incredible reviews to match.
In Jancis Robinson own words, “these are wines that eschew the heavy-handed, overripe approach of so many Californian producers. They are beautifully elegant, always refreshing and effortlessly drinkable.”
