About The Wine
With this delightful Italian-inspired Montepulciano / Nero d'Avola blend, winemaker Greg Grigoriou goes in search of a "don't think, just drink" style of red.
Greg says "I just wanted a juicy, easy-drinking red wine with something a little extra going on just under the surface." and he's done a very smart job of it. This is great value.
The juiciness of the Nero d'Avola being tamed by the sleekness and savouriness of the Montepulciano. The Riverlands and Ashley Radcliff continue to be the haven for young winemakers looking for affordable, well-grown fruit with some interest.
All that is on show here in Roxanne the Razor.
Greg Grigoriou's mission is simple.
He is trying to make interesting yet smashable wines from some unique fruit growing in the Riverlands.
This stuff is all about fun times and chilled wines. Bright, energetic and full of personality, these wines offer a great entry point for people looking to explore alternative varieties.
