About The Wine
"Aroha", translated from the Māori language, means "Love".
This wine is winemaker Julian Grounds' love letter to the Pinot Noir grape. It's crafted from Craggy Range's two finest parcels of Pinot Noir fruit and is treated with the utmost care and attention every step of the winemaking process.
The fruit is picture perfect when it enters the winery. Around half of the fruit ferments as whole bunches giving the wine excellent architecture and a hint of stalky spice. The destemmed fruit gives the wine a seductive silkiness that will make you swoon.
This sits in the top echelon of all Pinot Noir in the Martinborough region.
