About The Wine
Chateau Belloy's Les Canon du Chateau Belloy is a Merlot and Cabernet Franc blend from the Estate's best parcels in the Canon-Fronsac appellation.
It was fermented in concrete to preserve aromatic freshness and was finished in French Oak. The nose is bright red fruits and hints of fresh flowers, the palate builds to a darker fruit core with elegant tannin and a lush round texture. The Cabernet Franc component can be seen in the freshly herbal finish.
This is a serious Bordeaux that far outperforms its modest price tag.
About Chateau Belloy
Canon-Fronsac, the home of Chateau Belloy, is a go to appellation for knowledgeable Bordeaux lovers, providing a raft of great Right Bank wines at a fraction of the cost of some of the more prestigious appellations.
Chateau Belloy has over a thousand years of heritage, but it is their work today that we love. The Travers family, Frank, Helene, and Jean-Paul have wonderful holdings that they farm with great care and sensitivity producing a collection of reds from the two Cabernets and Merlot.
These are excellent wines that are a shining example of historic winery evolving in the best possible way. Don't miss the Les Canons du Belloy, a flagship for the estate and superb value.
