About This Wine
Fruit sourced from both the Clare and Barossa Valleys in SA, this is a pretty straightforward wine, south Aussie GSM in all its mouth-filling glory.
Vibrant and juicy, it’s all red-fruited and spice on the nose, while on the palate its more of the same, wrapped up in a texturally elegant frame.
Something quite interesting here, a wine to look at within the contextual framework of South Australian blends, yet there is something a bit different here, that just turns up the curiosity a notch or two.
About Brothers At War
Angus and Sam Wardlaw are the ‘Brothers at War’, starting off with a tonne of grapes, and an idea to produce unique expressions of the region they call home.
2nd generation winemakers, they leaned heavily of the knowledge gained from a childhood spend around their father, Barossa pioneer, David.
Working across the Barossa and Eden Valleys, the brothers produce a swath of wines; young fresh easy drinking styles, to much more serious, old-vine expressions.
Warring brothers at times perhaps, but when push comes to shove, like the Dire Straits song says, “You did not desert me, my brother(s) in arms.”
