About The Wine
Even in his easy drinking range, Turon White likes to experiment.
This is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay that was fermented on skins for a week. The time on skins giving the wine a gentle tactile grip to compliment the ripe tropical fruit flavours and clean acidity.
To add some perfume and more mid-palate weight, Turon then added a portion of whole-bunch fermented Pinot Gris.
It's a classic dry white with a little more under the hood. Top value from the Adelaide Hills rising star.
About Turon
Turon White is a young, articulate and intelligent winemaker - the kind we need more of in this country.
His mission to go beyond just variety and region, and explore sub-region, the site and the clone as a wholistic investigation. He is ahead of the curve in much of the Australian wine industry.
With only a few vintages under the Turon label under his belt, the future seems bright for this great new Adelaide Hills talent.
In 2019, James Halliday dubbed him, "One of the best three new wineries in this Companion". There's plenty more to come from this SA rising star.
