About The Wine
Grenache and Touriga make great bedfellows in the McLaren Vale region.
The bright red fruit and spice of Grenache from the Vale and the sweet floral notes and richness of Touriga get along like a house on fire.
Winemaker Matt Broomhead crafts this wine without the use of oak, allowing the full, plump fruit to shine.
A riot of spice and floral aromatics, this is a juicy, well-rounded red for all occasions.
About Three Dark Horses
Three Dark Horses is the passion project of ex-Coriole winemaker, Matt Broomhead.
Together with his father and grandfather, the three Broomhead men have embarked on a mission to make some of McLaren Vale's best value wines.
Focusing on mainly Rhone varieties, they are endeavouring to produce "small batch, hand made, and affordable wines of character."
This is a small, family-owned affair that is consistently releasing delicious, full-flavoured wines that showcase the best aspects of the McLaren Vale region.
