It's a serious red blend...

About The Wine
A top value entry into the the fascinating reds of Suertes del Marqués and Jonatan Garcia Lima.
This is a fascinating, funky, smoky red from the slopes of Spain's highest mountain, on the Altantic island of Tenerife.
Some wild herbal, peppery aromatics, a nice dense red fruit core, and a beautifully balanced finish.
Made from five local varieties grown in the red volcanic soils, Listan Negro being the most notable. Fermented in concrete with some whole bunch, aged in French barrique and puncheon.
About Suertes del Marques
Suertes del Marqués is a family winery that has been producing wines since 2006 on the wind-swept island of Tenerife, part of the Canary Islands, off the Atlantic Coast of Africa.
Guardian of the many indigenous grape varieties, owner/winemaker Jonatan Garcia Lima is passionate about maintaining local winemaking traditions (check out their 'trenzado' trellising), minimal sulphur usage and homeopathic vineyard treatments.
Garcia Lima is part of a small, revolutionary contingent of vignerons that are making it their mission to consolidate and care for the ancient vines on the island. These charming naturally produced wines speak of some wild, untamed terroir and are unlike anything else you will find in Spain or anywhere.
