Absolutely love this. Complex, personality dense wine of high drinkability. Bring it on.

About The Wine
Roussanne can be a difficult variety to get right on its own.
The variety is often used as a blending component, however the best Roussannes are full of weight, ripe fruit and great power.
Here the Shadowfax team has pulled one out of the bag. This is Roussanne allowed some time on skins, sent to barrel and left to develop texture and weight from time on lees.
If you're looking to see this variety strut its stuff solo, this is a great value place to start.
About Shadowfax
Alister Timms is the man directing the winemaking show at Shadowfax wines in Werribee, VIC.
He combines excellent estate grown fruit from their Werribee and Macedon Ranges vineyards with some fruit from good growers in regions such as the Barossa Valley and Geelong to create an eclectic array of high-class wines.
Pinot Noir and Chardonnay is their main focus, but the quality from the rarely seen Mondeuse to Barossa Shiraz is uniformly excellent.
