About The Wine
The Piccadilly Valley is the premier sub-region of the Adelaide Hills for producing premium Chardonnay, so that's just where Sam Scott went hunting for fruit.
The Denizen is a richer style of Chardonnay from the Hills and is absolutely cracking to drink.
There are few Chardonnays in the region that deliver the class and volume of flavour of this for the money. It's a cracking buy if you want cool-climate Chardonnay with some flesh and weight.
This is yet another top example of why Sam Scott's wines are considered some of the best value in SA.
About Scott Wines
Sam Scott has a clear vision for his Scott and La Prova labels - Italian inspired wines done with an Australian sensibility.
Utilising his retail, winemaking and viticultural experience, he has crafted a range of interesting, charming wines from select vineyards through Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley and Langhorne Creek.
They are vibrant and fruit-forward but with a savoury twist and great varietal character. Value-for-money wise, the range is up there with the best in the country.
Sam is an excellent guy and a supremely talented winemaker, as James Halliday noted, “Scott is a star in the making.”
