The 'Tinderry' is a project a long time in the making for Bryan Martin.

After planting Cabernet Franc on his home vineyard over 10 years ago, this is only the second release of this funky and delicious little red. This is Cabernet Franc at its most fragrant and beguiling.

The addition of 25% (!) Sauvignon Blanc was made to further enhance freshness and ease up the sheer intensity of the fruit Bryan picked in 2017. It's an altogether fantastic expression of the two closely linked varieties.

There was only a small amount of this wine made as is the case with all of Bryan's 'experimental' range. Grab one and enjoy.

About Ravensworth

Bryan Martin is a winemaker at the height of his powers. Setting aside the exceptional work he is doing behind the scenes at regional flagbearer, Clonakilla, his Ravensworth wines have become some of the Canberra region’s hottest releases.

Bryan’s winemaking style is equal parts science and artistic flair. He’s an adventurous spirit trapped in the body of a technical virtuoso. A concert pianist jamming to free jazz. It’s a killer combination.

His range is full of alternative varieties and whacky blends, with texture and balance the key in everything. Truly unique wines from a region on the up and up and some of Canberra’s most sort after wines.

Crushed herbs, boysenberries, raspberry and redcurrant. A hint of dried goji berry in the palate. So frisky and perky in style and shape. Flicks tannin through the mouth. Finishes with a chomp of leafy goodness. Excellent drink. Not a bad idea to pop it in the fridge before hand if that way inclined. - Different Drop Wine Team

"Loaded with red cherry, raspberry, dried and green herb notes, bouquet garni-like savoury scents. A lovely start. Juicy in the palate, nice fleshiness, a touch of ripe-dark berry fruitiness then the flush of piquant spice and herbs. Charming, succulent thing, really easy to drink but lots of good flavour and length too. Serious kind of feel but manages to also be wildly drinkable!" - Mike Bennie (The Wine Front)

VINTAGE NOTES  A little trickier than the last few but sangiovese loves difficult conditions, makes it more characterful for sure

WINEMAKING NOTES  Processed as whole berries, so no pumps used, a natural ferment that wasn't messed around with too much and then left on-skins for three weeks. matured in small 5 year old French oak cask.

We ship primarily with Australia Post. Their fast, easy and reliable delivery is completely FREE for any orders of $150 or more, or just $9 for any orders of $149 or less. There is no minimum order quantity and you can mix and match as much as you like.

The vast majority of orders are dispatched from our Sydney warehouse on the same or next business day. Estimated delivery time frames can be viewed here. Please include Authority to Leave instructions in the ‘SPECIAL REQUESTS’ box during checkout if you may not be available to sign for your delivery and would like it left at your front door.
