About The Wine
Shiraz has always remained a stalwart of the Mount Majura portfolio.
They were blessed with near perfect conditions in the region during the highly praised 2017 vintage and this brilliant Shiraz is just one more testament to that fact. Though entirely estate grown, a blend of three different clones; one that was originally sourced from the Best's Old Block which lends aromatics and minerality to the wine; the second, known as Clone 1127 revered for it's richer and 'chocolatey' tannins and finally; their original plantings which were of clone PT23 which give the wine it's regional specific characters of blackberry and spice.
The final product is so well balanced it is ridiculous and makes a top notch example of why so many people now praise this region as one of the country's best when it comes to our most iconic variety.
