About The Wine
The Mount Majura Riesling should be on the radar for any serious Riesling collector.
With their vineyards sitting at over 650 metres above sea level, Mount Majura specialise in premium, cool-climate wines that don’t bust the bank and have been impressing the critics for quite a few years now.
The Riesling is planted in the coolest, most south-easterly facing of their vineyards atop ancient volcanic soils. The struggle that the vines undergo to produce this incredible fruit is one of the key aspects contributing to the sheer quality of this wine.
The 2017 release picked up a huge 96 points from James Halliday. It's a scintillating Riesling and a great advertisement for the Canberra District.
