About The Wine

This is the top scoring Sauvignon Blanc in the country from the 2019 James Halliday Wine Companion.

Michael Hall has absolutely nailed this release.

A cunning combination of oak maturation and skin contact elevates this wine above the pack. The purity of fruit from the 2017 season is stunning. When tricked up with a little spicy oak and some chalky texture from the time on skins, the fruit really sings.

With a huge 97 points from Ned Goodwin MW, this is one of the best examples of 'serious' Sauv Blanc in the country this year.

97Points
Halliday Wine Companion

"A sauvignon of compelling exactitude, persistence and textural intrigue, layering the herbaceous varietal DNA across the signature purr of Damy oak. There is ample breadth and mineral tension, following a wild fermentation in barrel and significant time on lees, conferring authority to a wine that will convince naysayers while astonishing those accustomed to mass market savvy." - Ned Godwin MW (Halliday Wine Companion)
