About The Wine
Light-medium bodied, super-spicy, bunchy, beautiful Shiraz here from Sam Leyshon - all under $25.
Bargain.
This is fruit grown at the Mallaluka vineyard outside Murrumbateman. One quarter of the fruit was fermented as whole bunches, the other three quarters fermented as whole berries. There's a load of savoury, black olive character going on here, plenty of spice from the stems.
It's a lively little wine and awesome value if you love cool-climate Syrah with a bit of attitude.
About Mallaluka Wines

These estate-grown wines are made by second generation vigneron Sam Leyshon who has most recently learnt to ply his trade assisting Bryan Martin and Tim Kirk at Clonakilla.
These are modern wines that reflect the changing face of this exciting region. He makes wines with a wild side, they are made with minimal intervention and are insane value for money.
With Sam in the driver's seat, Mallaluka is one of the rising stars of the region, bringing a unique light and shade to the Canberra district.
