About The Wine
Not many folks can say Bonnes Mares is their calling card, but Mounir and Rotem Saouma don’t sully their cellars with just any old Burgundy.
With such remarkable purity, this Grand Cru vineyard is a consistent favourite of this exceptional couple.
2017 is a vibrant beauty, vivacious with its sweet spiced red fruit and finesse.
About Lucien Le Moine
Lucien Le Moine is a partnership between husband and wife team of Mounir and Rotem Saouma.
Theirs has been one of the most talked about negociant operations on the modern Cote D'Or. They actively source parcels from the finest Premier and Grand Cru vineyards up and down Burgundy.
Winemaking wise, they have been touted as one of the benchmark 'modernist producers', however, Mounir believes that his long, slow elevages and minimal use of sulphur harken back to the Burgundy production of an era gone by.
On their operation, Jancis Robinson wrote, "An extraordinary micro negociant in Beaune. Very serious quality." These are powerful, complex wines of imposing quality and stature.
