Aglianico, native to Campania in Italy, is grown here on pretty much my favourite bit of dirt at Kersbrook, in the northern Adelaide Hills. Kersbrook is one of the warmest parts of the Hills and so lends itself to these Southern Italian varieties so well.

About the Wine
This Aglianico Rosato is the perfect accompaniment to any picnic or lunch.
The fruit is grown in Kersbrook, Adelaide Hills, specifically for the purposes of producing Rosato. It has a beautiful colour and is wonderfully aromatic; it almost feels like it's batting its eyes at you from the glass. As the Rosato/Rosé revolution marches on it Australia, it's wines like this from interesting varieties that are really cutting through.
Complex, cheeky and impossible not to love, the La Prova Rosato should be on the hit-list of any fan of interesting and classy pink wines.
About Scott & La Prova Wines
Sam Scott has a clear vision for his Scott and La Prova labels - Italian inspired wines done with an Australian sensibility.
Utilising his retail, winemaking and viticultural experience, he has crafted a range of interesting, charming wines from select vineyards through Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley and Langhorne Creek.
They are vibrant and fruit-forward but with a savoury twist and great varietal character. Value-for-money wise, the range is up there with the best in the country.
Sam is an excellent guy and a supremely talented winemaker, as James Halliday noted, “Scott is a star in the making.”
