About The Wine

The Albino PNO is a unique and wonderful creation.

A flat table wine made out of 8 barrels of Pinot Noir and 2 of Chardonnay, the Pinot is pressed gently off its skins and both varieties fermented separately in barrel. No fining, no filtration, this is a seriously funked up Rosé.

In the pursuit of "strawberries and cream" in a bottle, Nic's Albino is textural, delightful and thought-provoking. And most importantly, it is ridiculously moreish.

The whole thing just works, from concept to the eye-catching packaging. Very, very, impressive stuff.

About L.A.S Vino

Nic Peterkin’s blood runs red with Margaret River wine.

The son of Pierro founder, Dr Mike Peterkin and Shelly Cullen, of you guessed it, Cullen wines fame, the force is strong with this one. His wines are out there, challenging the status quo of one of the country’s most respected wine producing regions. This is the “New Guard” of Margaret River, and the wines are coming out all guns blazing.

Nic is playing with some varieties off the beaten path of classic Margaret River. Nebbiolo, Touriga Nacional and Sousao, all finding a home amongst his eye-catching range.

There's some serious substance to his project, being named as the 2016 Gourmet Traveller Young Winemaker of the Year for his eclectic and tantalising releases.

DDS review

Strawberry and cream, seems oddly Chardonnay focused on the nose. Peaches, some juicy acid and savoury, spicy barrel funk on the nose. Chewy and softly powdery palate. So delicious as it glides to its mouth watering conclusion. Dangerous wine, this. Gulp. Gulp. Gulp. - Different Drop Wine Team

Additional Info

From The Producer

Strawberries and cream in a bottle may be a tall order but that's what we set out to do. To achieve this we handpicked Pinot Noir  (90%) and Chardonnay (10%) . Naturally fermenting the juice to preserve the primary flavours.

The wine then spent 10 months in French Oak where it went through a full malolactic fermentation and was hand stirred to develop complexity and texture. To maximise flavour we bottled the wine unfined with a light filtration.
