About The Wine
Kooyong are one of the icon estates from Mornington Peninsula. They have built a sterling reputation off the back of delivering consistent quality and value for their range of Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir.
The Massale is the 'entry level' Pinot Noir in their range. It's a blend of fruit from their Tuerong and Balnarring vineyards. The aim is always to over-deliver with this wine and the Kooyong team invariably succeeds on that front.
The 2017 is another bargain release. A warm, dry vintage providing great intensity and flavour in the Pinot Noir fruit and they've turned out a beauty. Top value Pinot Noir here, this is one of the best daily-drinking Pinot Noirs on the Peninsula.
About Kooyong
Kooyong is one of the Mornington Peninsula's most iconic wineries.
As with most wineries in the region, their focus is on premium Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Their 'entry level' wines, the Clonale Chardonnay and Massale Pinot Noir offer very good value for money and a great snapshot of regional style.
The real core of the range is their outstanding Single Vineyard expressions of their pet varieties. These are benchmark wines crafted with extreme care and attention to detail.
Kooyong are a regional flagbearer and have done much to lift the profile of the region as one of Australia's premier grape growing regions.
