This was the vineyard I fell in love with and most wanted to own.

About The Wine
The Koomilya project is Steve Pannell's "proudest accomplishment in wine."
This single block in McLaren Vale holds a special place in his heart, being the main source of his first Jimmy Watson Trophy winning wine, the 1995 Eileen Hardy Shiraz. On top of that, Steve has a certain spiritual connection to this site, "Out of the hundreds of vineyards I have visited around the world, this was the vineyard I fell in love with and most wanted to own."
Now as the custodian of this vineyard, Steve is releasing superb single vineyard wines from this block. It's his best attempt to distill this special site into a bottle. The 2017 Shiraz is stunning. A pure and powerful example of premium McLaren Vale Shiraz.
What's inside these bottles is magnificent, this is surely the making of a future icon wine for this region.
