About The Wine
The Grosset Springvale Riesling is a top example of Watervale Riesling, one of the premium sub-regions of the Clare Valley.
The Springvale is known to be the more approachable of the two dry Grosset Rieslings, a little softer in fruit and floral in aromatic profile than the racier Polish Hill. Though no slouch in the cellar, Springvale tends to offer supreme early drinking as well as the promise of more in the coming decade.
The 2017 release is excellent. The full spectrum of classic flavours that you expect from the area. It's dry, mineral-charged, limey and yet deliciously approachable.
Mike Bennie dubbed it a "Crystalline, classy riesling." which is nothing short of what you would expect from Grosset in a top vintage like 2017. Carefully crafted by one of the country's most incisive wine minds, this is a stunning release.
