About The Wine
The Rabaja is the signature wine of the late, great Giuseppe Cortese.
His is recognised as one of the best value examples of one of the top crus of Barbaresco. It is a traditional, architectural Nebbiolo that will age beautifully for the next two decades or more.
It's classic, fragrant, concentrated Nebbiolo with a sea of dried flowers, red cherries and blue fruits. The tannins firm and sure. The power waiting to unfurl over the coming years.
For a long-term cellar Barbaresco, this is a very safe bet.
About Guiseppe Cortese
Guiseppe Cortese had a lifelong passion for winemaking, starting from assisting his father, Giacomo, in their small family wine business. He founded and transformed the estate in 1971, betting on the value and quality of Barbaresco and never turning back.
It's a passion that has brought the family together, with Guiseppe's children now involved in the business, too. Their ethos is to look after the vines as if they were children, to produce fantastic wines with elegance and austerity.
