About The Wine
Dave Geyer strays outside of his usual play-area, leaving the Barossa in search of a fresh faced Bordeaux variety.
This is a ripe and juicy version of Cabernet Franc from a vineyard in Sellicks Hill, McLaren Vale.
Only old oak, next to no additions, half the wine was made like a Rosé to really drive home the freshness.
It's all about letting the site express itself for Dave, in this case, that expression is a seriously slurpable red with bucket loads of flavour.
About Geyer Wine Co.
David Geyer is challenging some of the traditions of the Barossa Valley, giving a second life to some of the neglected sites across the region and playing with varieties that aren’t exactly mainstream but are all universally delicious.
He makes wines as naturally as possible, always striving for drinkability and charisma in some of these unsung hero varieties of the region.
