Some very sharp buying here from the experienced hands of Martin Siebert.
This is one of those hidden gem wines that seems to have flown under the radar somewhat. It ticks so many boxes - Yarra Valley Pinot Noir from the impeccable 2017 vintage that comes in at under $30 a bottle - wins all round.
James Halliday was seemingly enamoured with the value on offer here. He noted that, "the palate gaining length and purpose each time I came back to it" in his 95 point review.
This is fruit from two very different sites in the Yarra. Siebert says his time in Burgundy taught him the importance of selecting the right site to make great wine - he seems to have chosen very, very well.
