About The Wine

A pigeon-pair with the Rouge of the same vintage from young gun winemaker and grape grower Ryan O'Meara.

This whacky little wine combines Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Chenin Blanc and Riesling into a fresh but textural wine that id pretty close to impossible to stop drinking. There's some whole-bunch pressed portions of fruit, some skinsy stuff, unfined, unfiltered and bottled a little wild. Lots going on but still offering easy drinking appeal, that's the modus operandi of Ryan's operation.

It's loose and flighty, top value and interesting. Serious drinking pleasure for the dollars asked here.

About Express Winemakers

Express Winemakers is Ryan O'Meara's pint-sized wine operation from the deep south of WA.

From kicking off in 2011, Ryan has assembled a group of top-flight vineyards from around the Great Southern that supply him with top-flight fruit to make his fun and creative range of wines.

There's some serious value to be had in the Express range, from funky skinsy whites, through spicy cool-climate reds and everything in between.

From The Producer

It was difficult to blend, but it’s easy to drink. After much deliberation, the final blend for this wine is whole bunch pressed Sauvignon Blanc (55%) and Chenin Blanc (15%) from my vineyard in Mount Barker, combined with skin fermented Semillon (25%) and Riesling (5%) from the Clos du Tertre vineyard in Frankland. The wine has aromas and flavours of tropical fruits and green herbs with natural acidity as bright as the sun.
