About The Wine
If you like your reds fresh, light and totally smashable, then this beauty from Eldredge Estate should be right at the top of your hit list.
Under the guidance of owner/winemaker David Lloyd, Eldredge has carved out a space as one of Australia's premier producers of Pinot and in particular, Gamay. The 'PTG' is the collision between these two much-loved varieties.
Campbell Mattinson called it "quite drastically delicious", and that's the truth. It's bright and joyous yet spicy and savoury, and is just one of the instantly loveable reds that's near impossible to put down!
About Eldridge Estate
When David and Wendy Lloyd purchased the picturesque Eldridge Estate on Red Hill in Mornington Peninsula in 1995, their mission was, "to produce hand crafted wines of distinction that are true to the grape variety and the flavours from our unique site."
It's fair to say that more than 20 years on, that dream has been fully realised. David runs the property with zero carbon footprint, continuously searching to optimise the effiency and quality of his wines.
A deep dive into the right clonal material for the Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Gamay on his small block has seen the wines of David Lloyd become respected as among the finest of Mornington Peninsula.
