About The Wine
The Graillot family, one of the most recognisable names in the Rhone Valley, love them some Beaujolais.
After years of drinking and swapping their wares with some of the best producers in Beaujolais, the Graillots sought out some land in the area bordering Juliénas and overlooking the town of Saint-Amour. Alain's son, Antoine, spearheads their Beaujolais project, making the wines in a traditional way, using 100% whole bunches and semi-carbonic maceration to attain a classic sense of the region in each glass.
Their Fleurie vinyard was procured a few years later. This site, high up on this famous slope, produces wines with a serious sense of minerality.
The wines from here have fine, persistant tannins and a structure you would more commonly associate with the wines of the Cote D'Or. It's an exceptional Cru Beaujolis which will blossom beautifully inside the bottle for many years to come.
