About The Wine
Exciting wine here, from the hands of winemaker Wes Pearson.
This Grenache comes from two top vineyards in McLaren Vale: one planted over 90 years ago in the Clarendon sub-region, and the other in Blewitt Springs. The value on offer here is outstanding.
As Gary Walsh noted in his glowing review, "Graceful. Good now, but no hurry.". It strikes that elusive balance between finesse and power effortlessly. If you like Grenache while it's rippling with primary fruit, there is plenty of joy to be had here already.
However, if you are looking for something that will look all the better in a few years time, this will equally fit the bill. Another wine to add to McLaren Vale's impressive list of excellent Grenache.
About Dodgy Bros
What started as a small garage winemaking project for viticulturalist Peter Bolte, has grown into a full-time fun-filled winemaking gig.
With fruit secured from top growers with a handshake, Peter, along with Canadian winemaker Wes Pearson and 'grower extraordinaire' Peter Sommerville are now making tasty treats in a wide range of styles from excellent McLaren Vale sites.
The Dodgy Bros wines don't take themselves too seriously. These are adventurous and energetic wines with plenty of personality.
