About The Wine
The Skin 'n' Bones White is a project a long time in the making for Brendan Keys.
The 2018 vintage is 100% Savagnin without the Chardonnay addition of previous releases. This is an exploration of the textural side of white wine making. A month on skins in barrel elevates this above the pack.
This is the most complete and well-balanced version of Skin 'n' Bones to date.
It's savoury, it's funky - it's a white with a wild personality.
About BK Wines
BK Wines is one of the poster boys of the modern artisan wine movement in the Adelaide Hills.
Owner/winemaker Brendan Keys is not afraid to do things differently. His wines are all from single vineyards (some biodynamically farmed), fermented with wild yeasts, unfined and unfiltered, with extended skin contact and even clay fermentation eggs occasionally thrown in for good measure.
His wines are creatively imagined, an artist meets skateboarding punk rocker kind of vibe.
Brendan is one of the more respected producers of the Adelaide Hills avant-garde.
