Drink this Alsatian hottie with cheese tarts and pork sausages… if you get the munchies.
About The Wine
Brendan Keys if nothing if not a boundary-pusher, and this adventurous Pinot Gris pushes more boundaries than most.
It's luscious, it's rich, it's complex. It's the polar opposite of his fresh and zingy Pinot Grigio, with the fruit coming from the exact same site in Lenswood but just left longer on the vine and then fermented and aged in a concrete egg.
If you like your full-bodied, textural whites and don't mind something a little different, then this is a must try!
About BK Wines
BK Wines is one of the poster boys of the modern artisan wine movement in the Adelaide Hills.
Owner/winemaker Brendan Keys is not afraid to do things differently. His wines are all from single vineyards (some biodynamically farmed), fermented with wild yeasts, unfined and unfiltered, with extended skin contact and even clay fermentation eggs occasionally thrown in for good measure.
His wines are creatively imagined, an artist meets skateboarding punk rocker kind of vibe.
Brendan is one of the more respected producers of the Adelaide Hills avant-garde.
