About The Wine
This is very much a 'modern' Australian Chardonnay - with the typical Aussie fruit flavours and subtle creamy French oak balanced by minerality, smoke and acidity.
BK has a way with Chardonnay. He loves to pick early looking for tension and crisp acidity as he backbone around which he can drape texture in the form of oak/lees etc.
The 2017 is probably his best One Ball yet, more elegant and more refined than it has ever been. It's a delicious glass of Chardonnay from a killer Hills producer.

About BK Wines
BK Wines is one of the poster boys of the modern artisan wine movement in the Adelaide Hills.
Owner/winemaker Brendan Keys is not afraid to do things differently. His wines are all from single vineyards (some biodynamically farmed), fermented with wild yeasts, unfined and unfiltered, with extended skin contact and even clay fermentation eggs occasionally thrown in for good measure.
His wines are creatively imagined, an artist meets skateboarding punk rocker kind of vibe.
Brendan is one of the more respected producers of the Adelaide Hills avant-garde.
