Here’s a secret: Semillon is, and has always been, the greatest white grape in all the land.

About The Wine
This fantastically textural and refreshing Semillon Sauvignon Blanc comes from the loving and brightly nail-polished hands of Richard and Carla Betts, two travelling American ex-Sommeliers who have a deep love for the great wines of the world made from these varieties.
The Semillon fruit is grown by gnarled old bush vines in the sandy soils of the Vine Vale sub-region of the Barossa. A splash of SB from the Adelaide Hills adds a little pop and crackle to the finished wine.
The fruit is fermented in seasoned oak barrels for ten months at low temperatures. With that amount of time in oak, the waxy, creamy textural components of barrel ageing impart another layer to what is quite vibrant and aromatic Semillon with plenty of zip and crunch.
Inspired bu the great white wines of Bordeaux, this is a seriously good and seriously interesting take on old vine Barossa Semillon which will be beautifully with a wide range of foods.
