I could drink this Upper Yarra Chardonnay every day of the week.
About The Wine
Andrew Marks has taken full advantage of the cooler site he sources his fruit from during the 2016 season, crafting two barrels of beautiful Chardonnay from the same vineyard as his Upper Yarra Pinot Noir.
This has all the intensity and class one would expect from a producer of Andrew's stature.
The 2016 was described as "As immaculate as it is more-ish." by Campbell Mattinson in his 93+ point review.
Another excellent release from the Wanderer stable. With only 80 dozen made and the growing reputation of Andrew's solo brand, it's sure to not last long.
About The Wanderer
The Wanderer is the side label of Yarra Valley vigneron, Andrew Marks, heir apparent to the well-loved Gembrook Hill wine label in the Upper Yarra.
The Wanderer is Andrew's chance to experiment with fruit outside of the family vineyard.
He produces high-calibre Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Syrah, in an elegant and refined style.
These are precise and finely detailed wines made with sensitivity and care that have quickly amassed a cult-like following. Only small amounts of each wine are made..
