You can buy a lot of more expensive wines from this neck of the woods, though I doubt they’d be better.

About The Wine
This is Eden Valley Shiraz in full flight.
Grown by the Angas family on Hutton Vale Farm, a place their family has tended for now seven generations, Dan Standish has taken their fruit to a new stratosphere.
The 2016 Lamella is a transcendent Shiraz. An imperious wine of incredible density and purity, a feeling of elegance maintained through careful and sensitive winemaking. If you have never had your mind blown by an Eden Valley Shiraz, this may be the wine to do it.
With a humungous 97+ points from The Wine Front's Gary Walsh, this is about as good as Shiraz gets from this part of the world.
About Standish Wine Co.
Dan Standish is one of the most outstanding Barossa producers in the game today.
A sixth-generation Barossan, Dan started the Standish Wine Co. in 1999. Over the intervening years, his wines have amassed unanimous acclaim. His offerings now rank amongst the rarest and most sort after Barossa wines for collectors in the know.
After learning his trade at Torbreck, under his eponymous label, Dan has pursued a quest to showcase some of the Barossa region's finest and most ancient sites.
Stylish, seductive and devastatingly powerful, the Standish wines are Barossa wines with unmistakable X-Factor.
