About The Wine
The Simão & Co. exploration of the North East in Victoria continues here with this very smart modern rendition of Nebbiolo.
The fruit is grown on an old flat river bed on the floor of the Alpine Valleys. The sandy, stony soils work well for this variety. The coolness of the region ideal for these late ripening varieties in a warmer vintage like 2016.
There's a juicy fruit ripeness alongside classic Nebbiolo floral lift and moreish tannins all in cahoots here. It's Australian Nebbiolo made to be consumed young or put down for a few years to mellow.
Top value here for those who want Nebbiolo they can drink right away.
