The Shaw + Smith Shiraz is one of Australia's most iconic cool-climate red wines.
With an enviable track record for quality, the reputation of this wine has been built on careful fruit selection from some of the finest Shiraz growing vineyards in the Adelaide Hills.
The 2016 received an exceptional 97 points from James Halliday and a huge 96 points from Campbell Mattinson at The Wine Front, making it one of the highest scoring vintages of this wine to date.

From The Producer
From low yielding vines predominantly at Balhannah in the central Adelaide Hills, and from Echunga and Macclesfield to the south. Hand picked and fermented as a combination of whole berries and whole bunches in open fermenters, with gentle plunging and minimal working.
Aged in French oak for fourteen months, of which one third was new. September’s start to the growing season was warmer than average leading to good canopy and fruit development.
January rainfall provided relief from earlier warmer temperatures and was timely to aid fruit development through the ripening period, resulting in healthy fruit being harvested two weeks earlier than average.

Do I have to order in dozens? No, please mix it up! You can order wines in any quantity and variation you like. You can order 1 bottle or 50. We challenge you to make the ultimate mixed pack of wine!
Are there volume discounts? No, our pricing is designed to be the best in market already - no marking up and then discounting down! For very large orders (weddings, etc) we are open to negotiating though. Just give us a call.
Do we price match? Yes, within reason. Everyday low & consistent pricing is something we strongly believe in. We want our customers to feel confident they are always getting the best price. If you see a price lower somewhere else let us know and we'll consider matching it. We'll even retrospectively issue you store credit if you have already purchased from us but you see a lower price somewhere later on. Our price match policy can be seen here.
Can coupons and discounts be stacked? No, only one discount or coupon can be applied to an order at once.
I am trying to add more of a wine to my cart but it won’t let me? This means we are running low on stock of that wine. So for example, if the website will only allow you to add 3 bottles and no more, then that is all we have of that particular wine. The good news is we may be able to order more for you. Just contact us on 02 8376 8775 or hello@differentdrop.com and we'll organise the additional quantity for you.
Does Different Drop have a physical store? No. Just an a warehouse/office. We occasionally do events however, so sign up to our newsletter or follow us on instagram to stay in the loop.
Can I special order a wine you do not sell? If it’s doable, then we’ll make it happen. Just contact us directly via phone, chat or email and we’ll find out for you right away. Please note that in most cases special orders such as these will need to be in full case lots (6 or 12 bottles).
