For me, the interesting thing is the vineyard, and these wines are snapshots of individual vineyards I farm.
About The Wine
The Sǣp wines are a collaboration between expert viticulturalist Dave Gartlemann, and enigmatic winemaking master, Abel Gibson. The combination of the talents of these two gentlemen is potent.
The wines come from special sites that Dave tends from across South Australia. As a grape-growing gun for hire, Gartlemann works with some very good vineyards. When a parcel of fruit catches his eye, he grabs it. Dave makes the wines with a natural philosophy under Abel's carful guidance.
This is a small batch of spicy, slippery Adelaide Hills Shiraz with a few bunches of Semillon in the mix for a little extra zip through the mouth. It was made with no preservatives and it's brilliant value for money.
The wines come and go quickly, but Sǣp is an 'under the radar' wine label that you should get to know.
