Outstanding wine for freshness, complexity, light savoury character, saline acidity, bold personality... Fine wine in any language. Such delicious, unreal drinking.

About the Wine
The latest wine to emerge from the Owen Latta stable is, unsurprisingly, another smash hit. This is Chardonnay farmed by Owen on his uncle's neighbouring property in the Ballarat region.
The unique thing about this wine is the time it spent in barrel. A natural, wild ferment followed by full malolactic fermentation and one year spent in old barrels under ullage before the wine was racked to tank to settle for six months.
The oxygen influence here adds serious X-factor.
As the name suggests, this is a tip of the cap to the wines of Jura, but delivered with a soft touch.
About Latta / Eastern Peake
Is anyone working as hard as Owen Latta to put Ballarat in the mix of Australia's foremost wine regions? At only 15 years old he completed his first vintage at Eastern Peake alongside his father and has since taken on the full-time running of the business.
Owen is the man primarily responsible for both the Eastern Peake and Latta wines, the former of which being dedicated to premium Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the Eastern Peake vineyard, and the latter being Owen's personal project all about innovation from a range of excellent central Victorian vineyards.
The wines are all gently brought to life with very astute yet hands-off winemaking, and Owen's low and zero sulphur wines are some of the best examples in the country. These are thrilling, absolutely unique Victorian wines, and quite simply Own Latta is one of Australia's finest young winemakers.
