The value, the quality, the character; it’s all outstanding here. This is terrific drinking.

About the Wine
Sam Scott's affinity with Italian varieties began with his first encounter with Sangiovese. It's a variety which many winemakers struggle their whole with. With this release, Sam has absolutely nailed it.
The trick with Sangiovese is to maintain drinkability, harnessing the power and tannin inherent in the variety and making approachable, accessible versions which suit our Australian palates. As Cambell Mattinson noted in his 93+ point review of this release, "The value, the quality, the character; it’s all outstanding here."
This is one of the most charming versions of this variety to be found anywhere in the country, ideal for enthusiasts and newcomers to the variety, alike.
