Fruitiness, freshness, ease of drinking, a sloshy-bright texture and a gulpable feel. Locked and loaded... Great drinking.

About the Wine
Ma Petite Francine is a brilliant, ‘nouveau’ take on a single vineyard Cabernet Franc.
Sourced from the Coldstream Hills region in the Yarra Valley, Francine is made in a super approachable, drink now style. The fruit receives 100% carbonic maceration (a technique most famously utilised in Beaujolais whereby the majority of the juice is fermented whilst still inside the skins) and is 100% whole bunch pressed. This works perfectly with the high-toned aromatics of Cab Franc, accentuating the herbal, funky characters alongside the perky fruit.
Gary says it's the best version of Francine he's made to date. In the end, the wine just screams ‘drink me’. Funky enough to thrill the true wine geeks out there and novices alike. Francine ticks a lot of boxes and is a great intro into Gary’s range. Enjoy.
About Jamsheed
Gary Mills is a modern star of Victorian wine. His Jamsheed wines are amongst the most exciting in the country: thrilling, authentic wines packed with personality. Campbell Mattinson labelled him “a leading producer”, Jamie Goode called him “the new face of Australian wine” and Matthew Jukes went as far as to call the wine of Jamsheed “a revelation”.
With a specific focus on the regional differences in Victorian Syrah for his Jamsheed range, Gary has been one of the loudest advocates for the inclusion of whole bunch ferments and was ahead of the curve in creating minimal intervention wines that naturally convey the characteristics of their respective vineyards.
On top of his much sought-after Syrahs, Gary produces excellent textural white wines from varieties including Riesling and Roussanne, and is never afraid to innovate with his quirky and delicious entry level 'Harem' label.
Wild, electric and a little left of centre, Jamsheed is one of the Victoria’s most compelling producers.
