About the Wine
Hans Herzog lives and breathes wine, and has a hands-on approach to his winemaking. From pruning the vines, hand harvesting the fruits, to the winemaking process, he's the man behind it all.
His Pinot Noir comes from vines he planted himself in 1996. It's vibrant and juicy, with a graceful earthiness and effortless purity all the way down to the very last drop.
It boasts the signature silky texture of all of Hans Herzog's wines. Rich and complex, this is a great addition to any cellar.
About Hans Herzog
With over 500 years of winemaking history in his family, Swiss winemaker Hans Herzog picked up his life in Zurich wine country, and with his wife Therese, headed for New Zealand. In 1994, they established one of the most stunning vineyards in the heart of the Marlborough region, planting an astonishing 29 varieties on their small patch of land.
They tend the vineyard with immense love and care. Everything is grown organically. Hans crafts premium, idiosyncratic wines that show the beauty of his vineyard in every glass and shares these wines with every person who comes to dine at their fine estate.
As The Wine Front's Gary Walsh once noted, there's "Never a dull moment when you open a wine from Hans Herzog."
